Cliplala vs Munch Studio
Munch used to be a clipper. Munch Studio is now an AI that runs a business's whole social presence, with long-video clipping kept as one quota inside it. Cliplala only does the clipping: hours of source video in, ranked shorts out, queued to 10+ platforms through Schedulala. Here is the whole picture, including where Munch Studio wins.
60 minutes of video free. No credit card.
Pick Munch Studio if
- You want one tool to write posts, make carousels and scripts, plan a calendar and clip video, all trained on your website
- You want unlimited team members, which Premium includes
- You run several brands or clients and want separate workspaces
Pick Cliplala if
- You only want shorts from long video, and want the smallest bill for a couple of hours a month
- You want more video for the money: $48 buys 14 hours here and 500 minutes on Munch Studio Essential
- You want to try it without a card. Munch Studio charges the card when the 7-day trial ends
- You want to keep downloading your shorts after you cancel
- You post to more than five platforms and want them all in one queue
- You clip gameplay or streams and want the game and your cam on screen together

Moving over takes an afternoon.
- 1
Try 60 minutes free
Paste a link or drop a file. Your first 60 minutes of video run free with a small Cliplala watermark, and you can post or download the shorts. No card, no trial clock.
- 2
Connect your channels in Schedulala
Posting goes through Schedulala, built in. You connect your channels inside Cliplala once, and every short can queue to all of them. There is no second account to open.
- 3
Download what you made before you cancel Munch Studio
Their help centre says downloads stop once a subscription ends, so export first. Then pick a Cliplala rung by the hours of video you send a month.
Questions people ask before switching
Is Cliplala cheaper than Munch Studio?
For clipping, yes. Our entry plan is $14 against $48 a month, or $10.50 against $38 paid yearly. Munch Studio Essential gives 500 minutes of clipping for $48. Our Creator plan gives 14 hours for $48. Munch Studio's $48 also buys posts, scripts and a calendar. If you use all of that, it can still be the better deal.
What is a source-hour?
One hour of the video you send us. A 75-minute podcast is 1.25 hours. It is the only unit we use, on every plan.
What does Munch Studio have that you do not?
A whole social media manager: posts, carousels and scripts written from your website, a content calendar, a performance dashboard, multi-brand workspaces, and an editor with manual crop and silence removal. If you need those, Munch Studio is the better pick today.
Do my shorts expire if I stop paying?
No. Shorts are yours on every plan, including free, and they stay after you cancel. The uploaded source video is kept for 30 days. Munch Studio's help centre says you can still see posts after cancelling but cannot download, schedule or publish them.
Do you train AI models on my videos?
No. Your uploads are used to make your shorts and for nothing else. It is written in our terms and privacy policy.
Can I post to the same platforms?
Munch Studio posts to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok. We queue to 10+ platforms through Schedulala on every paid plan. You connect your channels inside Cliplala once, and you check each short before it goes.
Your next nine posts are already recorded.
