Cliplala vs Ssemble
Ssemble is built for clip farmers: cheap credits, Kick and Twitch links, an API, and posting to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. Each credit covers 20 minutes of video, projects expire after two months idle, and there is no free tier. Cliplala is priced in hours of source video, keeps your shorts for good, includes seats, and queues to 10+ platforms through Schedulala. Here is the whole picture, including where Ssemble wins.
60 minutes of video free. No credit card.
Pick Ssemble if
- You clip other people's streams from Kick and Twitch VOD links and want the cheapest yearly rate
- You want an API and an MCP connector on the entry plan
- You post to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube and want the scheduler built in
- You want an editor for trimming, captions and translation
Pick Cliplala if
- You want to pay by hours of source video, not credits that split a two-hour stream into six projects
- You want to try it free: Ssemble's help centre says there is no free trial or tier
- You never want a project deleted: Ssemble removes projects after two months without an edit
- You share one plan with a few friends and want seats included
- You post to more than three platforms and want them all in one queue

From their users
What people say about Ssemble, and what we do about it.
Paraphrased from public reviews and threads. Each one links to where it was said.
Shorts queued for the week never uploaded until each was scheduled by hand, and a chosen call-to-action did not appear.
Trustpilot, August 2026What we do
Posting runs through Schedulala, where every queued post has its own status you can check, and a failed one can be retried from there.
Bought the yearly Expert plan on July 31, used it, and by August 3 was told to upgrade despite having paid $144.
Trustpilot, August 2026What we do
A plan is a number of hours a month, printed on the card before you buy, and a project that fails is not charged against them.
No refunds, whatever went wrong.
Trustpilot, June 2026What we do
You find out before you pay. The first 60 minutes of video run free, the shorts are yours to post or download, and there is no card on file until you pick a plan.
Switching
Moving over takes an afternoon.
- 1
Try 60 minutes free
Paste a link or drop a file. Your first 60 minutes of video run free with a small Cliplala watermark, and you can post or download the shorts. No card.
- 2
Connect your channels in Schedulala
Posting goes through Schedulala, built in. You connect your channels inside Cliplala once, and every short can queue to all of them. There is no second account to open.
- 3
Download your Ssemble clips before the two months run out
Their help centre says a project is deleted two months after its last edit, so export what you want to keep. Then pick a Cliplala rung by the hours of video you send a month.
Questions people ask before switching
Is Cliplala cheaper than Ssemble?
No, not per minute. Ssemble Pro is $15 a month for 30 credits, and paid yearly it is $6 a month; each credit covers up to 20 minutes, so a full month can reach 10 hours. Our Lite is $14 for 4 hours, or $10.50 paid yearly. What you get for the difference is 60 free minutes to start, shorts that never expire, seats, and a queue to 10+ platforms.
What is a source-hour?
One hour of the video you send us. A 75-minute podcast is 1.25 hours. Ssemble counts credits instead, one per 20 minutes of input.
What does Ssemble have that you do not?
Kick and Twitch VOD links, an API and MCP connector on every plan, a built-in TikTok, Instagram and YouTube scheduler, an editor with caption translation, and cheaper minutes on yearly billing. If you need those, Ssemble is the better pick today.
Do my shorts expire if I stop paying?
No. Shorts are yours on every plan, including free, and they stay after you cancel. The uploaded source video is kept for 30 days. Ssemble's help centre says projects are deleted after two months without an edit, and credits keep their expiry date after you cancel.
Do you train AI models on my videos?
No. Your uploads are used to make your shorts and for nothing else. It is written in our terms and privacy policy.
Can I post to the same platforms?
Ssemble posts and schedules to YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. We queue to 10+ platforms through Schedulala on every paid plan. You connect your channels inside Cliplala once, and you check each short before it goes.
Your next nine posts are already recorded.
