Cliplala vs VEED
VEED is a full online video editor with an AI Clips tool inside it. Cliplala only does the clipping: hours of source video in, ranked shorts out, queued to 10+ platforms through Schedulala. Here is the whole picture, including where VEED wins.
60 minutes of video free. No credit card.
Pick VEED if
- You want a complete editor, with subtitles, translation, AI voices, avatars and stock media, and clipping is one job among many
- You clip a lot: every paid plan has unlimited access to AI Clips
- You want 4K export and translation into 50+ languages
- You want yearly billing at up to half price and can commit for a year
Pick Cliplala if
- You only want shorts from long video, and want the smallest bill for a couple of hours a month
- You want to paste a YouTube or stream link. VEED's Clips needs an upload
- You share one plan with a few friends and want seats included, not a price per editor
- You want to post from the same screen, to 10+ platforms, without a separate scheduler
- You clip gameplay or streams and want the game and your cam on screen together

From their users
What people say about VEED, and what we do about it.
Paraphrased from public reviews and threads. Each one links to where it was said.
Paid for months of unused credits, moved down to the free plan, and every credit already paid for was removed.
Trustpilot, September 2026What we do
There is no credit balance to lose. Hours reset each month, and your shorts never expire, whatever plan you are on.
Charged for a full annual subscription without having a paid plan, and pointed to a bank chargeback instead of a refund.
Trustpilot, September 2026What we do
Our pricing page opens on monthly, the yearly total is printed before you click, and there is no card on file until you pick a plan.
The editor is buggy: clean audio misfires and timeline zoom is inaccurate.
Trustpilot, September 2026What we do
There is no timeline to fight with. You review ranked shorts, keep the ones you want, and queue them.

Their help centre says cancelling keeps your access to the end of the billing cycle, and credits do not carry over, so use what you have paid for first.
Questions people ask before switching
Is Cliplala cheaper than VEED?
Our entry plan is $14 a month for 4 hours of video, or $10.50 paid yearly. VEED showed us CA$29 a month per user for Creator, or CA$14 a month paid yearly, and shows other countries their own currency. VEED's paid plans include unlimited AI Clips, so if you clip a great deal VEED can cost less per clip; if you send a few hours a month, we cost less per month.
What is a source-hour?
One hour of the video you send us. A 75-minute podcast is 1.25 hours. It is the only unit we use, on every plan.
What does VEED have that you do not?
A full timeline editor, unlimited AI Clips on paid plans, 4K export, translation into 50+ languages, AI voices and avatars, stock media, and an API. If you need those, VEED is the better pick today.
Do my shorts expire if I stop paying?
No. Shorts are yours on every plan, including free, and they stay after you cancel. The uploaded source video is kept for 30 days. VEED does not publish an expiry rule for exported clips.
Do you train AI models on my videos?
No. Your uploads are used to make your shorts and for nothing else. It is written in our terms and privacy policy.
Can I post to the same platforms?
VEED's pricing page does not list posting or scheduling; you export clips and post them yourself. We queue to 10+ platforms through Schedulala on every paid plan. You connect your channels inside Cliplala once, and you check each short before it goes.
Your next nine posts are already recorded.
