AI caption generator that burns the words into the short
Every short Cliplala makes carries captions rendered into the file: word by word, the current word lit, in one of ten styles. No SRT to upload, nothing for a viewer to switch on.
60 minutes free. No credit card. Shorts never expire.

What came out of this one
Real shorts from the source above, in the order the engine ranked them, with the reason it wrote for each.

80% of 'Wit' Isn't Spontaneous—You've Just Seen That Joke Before
Why. Surprising debunk of a common myth about witty people. Reframes effort and experience over raw talent, which is both humble and motivating.
- #2 · 81 · 21s
Your Face Is the Remote Control for Your Voice's Emotion
Why. One-sentence, highly quotable insight with immediate visual proof built into the segment (sad face, disgusted face demos). Stops scroll because it's surprising and actionable.

Upload the video
The captions come from a verbatim, word-timed transcript of the whole source, made once per file.
- 02
Pick a style
Ten presets, from a plain sans to a bold outlined block. The style is applied at render, so changing it is a re-render, not a re-edit.

Shorts come back captioned
The words are part of the picture. Queue the shorts to 10+ platforms and they read the same everywhere.

The quote, readable muted
An interview clip is a line worth reading. The captions carry it word by word, with both hosts still in the frame.
Caption an episodeWord by word, with the current word lit
The transcript is word-timed, so each word lights as it is said. It is not a block of subtitles fading in and out. Muted viewers read along at the speaker's pace.
Burned in, so every platform shows the same thing
A caption file is a thing a platform can ignore, mis-time or restyle. Rendered captions are pixels; TikTok, Reels and Shorts all show exactly what you saw in the preview. The clipper this belongs to.
Placed where the platform will not cover them
Each platform lays its own controls over the bottom and the right edge of a vertical video. Captions sit in the band that stays visible on all of them.
Included on every plan
Cliplala meters the video you upload, not the shorts it makes. Lite is $14 a month for 4 hours; Pro is $78 for 25. Every plan posts to 10+ platforms, and every plan from Starter up includes seats for a team. The first 60 minutes are free, with a small watermark on the clips; paid plans have none. Full pricing.
What it does
- Burned-in captions. Word-level, active word highlighted, ten styles. Rendered into the file.
- Bad cuts dropped. A short that starts or ends mid-thought does not reach you.
- Face tracking. The crop follows the person, through cuts and camera moves.
- Ranked with reasons. Every short says why it was picked, so you can disagree with it.
- Link or file. Paste a YouTube link, or upload the file straight from your machine.
- Queue to 10+ platforms. Post from the results page. No export step.
- Priced on hours. Metered on source video. From $14 a month for 4 hours.
- 60 minutes free. No credit card. The free clips carry a small watermark; paid plans have none.
What it does not promise
- A fixed number of shorts. De-duplication and the coherence check drop shorts on purpose; a tight talk yields more than a rambling one.
- A score that predicts views. Every short gets a rank and a written reason, and you can disagree with it.
- A time. Long sources take longer; you see shorts as they finish.
Claims on this page come from what ships today. If a row above says it, the engine does it.
Questions
How does the AI caption generator work?
Cliplala makes a verbatim, word-timed transcript of your video once, then renders captions into every short it cuts: word by word, the current word lit, in the style you picked. There is no caption file to upload to a platform.
Can I edit a caption before posting?
Yes. Fix a word or change the style on the results page; the short re-renders with the change.
Can I get captions without making shorts?
Not as a separate tool. Captions are part of the shorts Cliplala makes; the generator is the clipper's caption step, not a standalone subtitle service.
Which languages do the captions support?
The transcript is verbatim in the language spoken; the captions show what was said, in that language. Translation is not part of this step.
Can I download a caption file instead?
The captions are rendered into the video. A separate SRT or VTT export is not part of this flow today.
Is the AI caption generator free?
Your first 60 minutes of source video are free with no credit card. Those shorts carry a small Cliplala watermark. Paid plans start at $14 a month for 4 hours of video and have no watermark.
What can I upload?
A YouTube link, or a file: mp4, mov, m4v, mkv or webm. Uploads go from your browser straight to private storage, so a long file does not have to pass through a form.
Is my video used to train anything?
No. Your uploads are used to make your shorts and for nothing else. Source files are deleted after 30 days; the shorts stay.
