A YouTube link, or the mp4 straight from your recorder. Long episodes are fine; the plan is metered on hours of source, not on clips.

    The engine picks and cuts

It reads the transcript, finds the quotable moments, snaps every cut to a sentence, and drops the ones that start or end mid-thought. Two hosts get a stacked layout; one host gets a solo crop that follows the face.

Review, then queue to every platform

Shorts come back ranked with a reason for each pick. Fix a caption, swap a layout, then queue the good ones into Schedulala for TikTok, Reels, Shorts and 10+ platforms from the same screen.

Which one is you

Pick the closest.

The guest's best line, with the guest on screen

The picker reads who is speaking. When the guest lands the line, the crop is on the guest, not on the host nodding. Every short carries the moment that made you book them.

Clip an interview

Podcast to shorts without the mid-sentence cuts

Most clip makers cut on a score and leave the sentence hanging. This one snaps every edge to a word boundary from the transcript, checks the clip still makes sense on its own, and throws out the ones that do not. Fewer shorts, all of them postable. See how the ranking works on any long video.

Two hosts, one 9:16 frame

When both people are talking, the frame stacks them. When one is on a close-up, it goes solo. The layout is chosen about once a second from what is on screen, not once per clip, so a cutaway to the guest does not throw the whole short into letterbox.

Captions burned in, in your style

Word-level captions with the active word highlighted, from ten presets. They are rendered into the file, so they look the same on every platform and nobody has to turn them on. More on captions.

Priced on hours of episode, not on clips

Cliplala meters the source you upload. Lite is $14 a month for 4 hours of episodes; Pro is $78 for 25. Every plan posts to 10+ platforms and includes seats for a co-host or an editor. The first 60 minutes are free, with a small watermark on the clips; paid plans have none. Full pricing.

What it does

  • Link or file. Paste a YouTube link, or upload the recording straight from your machine.
  • Two-host layouts. Stacked, solo or letterbox, chosen from what is on screen about once a second.
  • Ranked with reasons. Every short says why it was picked, so you can disagree with it.
  • Burned-in captions. Word-level, active word highlighted, ten styles. Rendered into the file.
  • Bad cuts dropped. A short that starts or ends mid-thought does not reach you.
  • Queue to 10+ platforms. Post from the results page through Schedulala. No export step.
  • Seats included. Share the plan with a co-host or editor. Seats follow the plan, no extra charge.
  • Shorts never expire. Source files are kept 30 days. The shorts you made stay.

What it does not promise

  • A fixed number of shorts. De-duplication and the coherence check drop shorts on purpose; a tight talk yields more than a rambling one.
  • A score that predicts views. Every short gets a rank and a written reason, and you can disagree with it.
  • A time. Long sources take longer; you see shorts as they finish.

Claims on this page come from what ships today. If a row above says it, the engine does it.

Questions

How do I make clips from a podcast?

Paste the episode's YouTube link or upload the video file. Cliplala transcribes it, picks the quotable moments, cuts them to 9:16 with the speaker in frame and captions burned in, and shows them ranked. You review, then queue the ones you like to your platforms through Schedulala.

Does it work with a two-host podcast?

Yes. When two people are on screen it stacks them in the 9:16 frame; when one is on a close-up it goes solo. The layout is chosen about once a second from what is actually on screen, so a cut to the guest does not break the whole short.

How many clips do I get from one episode?

It depends on the episode. The engine keeps the moments that stand on their own and drops near-duplicates and cuts that start or end mid-thought, so a tight 40-minute episode can return more usable shorts than a rambling two-hour one. You can ask for a target count and a clip length before it runs.

Do I need a video podcast, or does audio work?

Cliplala is built for video. It reads faces to choose the crop and the layout. An audio-only episode has nothing to frame, so a static image with captions is not something it makes today.

Is the podcast clip maker free?

Your first 60 minutes of source video are free with no credit card. Those shorts carry a small Cliplala watermark. Paid plans start at $14 a month for 4 hours of episodes and have no watermark.

Can I post the clips straight to TikTok, Reels and Shorts?

Yes. The results page queues into Schedulala, which posts to 10+ platforms. You do not download and re-upload anything, though a download is there if you want it.

Does my episode get used to train anything?

No. Your uploads are used to make your shorts and for nothing else. Source files are deleted after 30 days; the shorts stay.

Can I clip an episode that is not on YouTube?

Yes. Upload the file directly. mp4, mov, m4v, mkv and webm are accepted, and the upload goes from your browser straight to private storage.
